Education Opportunities:

  • Webinar: Recess Rocks!  Wednesday, September 25,2013, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST. Presented by Colorado Legacy Foundation  CLick here to Register. Experts agree that physical activity can be just as vital as classroom time to a child's social and emotional development as well as lead to better academics and classroom behavior! However, millions of American students do not meet the minimum requirements of 60 minutes of physical activity daily. Punishing children by taking away recess or PE classes reduces their already scarce opportunity for physical activity. Recess is a vital opportunity to boost academic success and there are many alternatives for disciplining students.
